ABOUT THE AUTHORS AND PRODUCTION TEAM
Ronan McBrearty
Ronan was national Chairperson of ETTA (Engineering Technology Teachers Association) from 2017 to 2020 and a member of the Metalwork Development Group that developed the Junior Cycle Specification.
Ronan hails from Donegal and is an experienced Engineering and Technology teacher currently working in Ardgillan Community School Balbriggan, Co. Dublin.cation Barry Convey
Barry was a subject representative for ETTA to the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment for Technology, and became national Chairperson of the Engineering Technology Teachers Association (ETTA) in 2021. Barry is an experienced teacher of Engineering, Technology and Maths, and is currently teaching at Summerhill College, Co. Sligo.

Paul Enright
Paul is co-founder of Brighter Minds, editor of Junior Cycle Engineering, author of Leaving Cert Engineering and Technology for Junior Certificate, and producer of the JC and LC Engineering online content videos and quizzes.
Philip Campion
Philip is an award-winning Graphic Designer currently working in industry, who helped us produce the artwork and videos for JC and LC Engineering. Philip has a degree in Product Design from DIT.
Grainne Enright
Grainne is founder and general manager of Brighter Minds. Grainne is author of Leaving Cert Technology (Golden Key), JC Technology (Folens) and Foundation Level Maths (Golden Key). Grainne also previously worked for Leeson Street Institute of Education and currently teaches Senior Cycle Maths at Skerries Community College.
